MCTC is offering this one day experiential course in Pre- and Peri-Natal Psychology for Counsellors and Psychotherapists
Pre- and Peri-Natal Psychology is rarely covered in counselling and psychotherapy training courses and yet our earliest beginnings profoundly and powerfully affect all our lives and those of our clients.
This course will give an overview and an insight into some of the issues and defences that we sometimes experience and create during this formative time from conception to birth and beyond.
It is only when we fully explore our own deep experiences that we are truly able to help others on their therapeutic journey so, on this course, you will have the opportunity to explore your own early experiences – those that you perhaps know about and others that you hold in deep memory.
The course will cover:
- Frank Lake’s Dynamic Cycle
- Creative visualisation
- Work in pairs
- Role/Real Play as parents and babies
- Discussion and Reflection
Please bring a packed lunch
Numbers are limited so booking is essential
